Agreement Overview
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of QR Safety Solutions' arc flash labeling and QR-linked data hosting service (the "Service") by any company or individual that registers for an account, submits a quote request, or accepts an order ("Customer," "you"). By registering for an account, accepting an order, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
The Service
QR Safety Solutions provides durable QR code labels linked to a cloud-hosted database of arc flash hazard data (incident energy, approach boundaries, protective device information, and related fields), along with a customer portal for managing that data. Scanning a QR label displays the most current data on file for that piece of equipment.
Subscription & Billing
Access to the Service is provided under a subscription. The specific plan, pricing, and billing frequency for your account are set out in your order confirmation. Subscriptions renew as agreed in your order unless cancelled or allowed to lapse.
Data Accuracy
Arc flash hazard data displayed through the Service is only as accurate and current as the information provided to us or imported into your account. You are responsible for ensuring that the data you provide reflects your most current, approved arc flash study. QR Safety Solutions is not responsible for hazards arising from outdated or inaccurate data that was not provided or flagged for correction.
Continued Access After Subscription Lapse
If your subscription becomes inactive for any reason - non-renewal, cancellation, or non-payment - previously installed QR labels will continue to function. Scanning them will continue to display the most recent arc flash data that was on file as of the date your subscription became inactive.
This ensures that field personnel always have access to the last approved hazard information for your equipment, even if your account lapses. It does not, however, mean that data can continue to be added or changed - see the next section.
Data Updates Require an Active Subscription
Adding, importing, or updating arc flash data - including new equipment records, revised study results, or edits to existing records - requires an active subscription. While your subscription is inactive, data-import and editing tools are disabled, and any updated data you send us will not be applied to your account or reflected on your labels until your subscription is renewed.
Reinstatement After an Extended Lapse
If your subscription lapses for six (6) months or less, you may renew at the then-current subscription rate and resume full service, including new data updates, with no additional charge for the lapsed period.
If your subscription lapses for more than six (6) months, reinstating data-update access requires payment covering the entire lapsed period, calculated at the subscription rate(s) that applied during that time (or, where not otherwise specified, the rate in effect at the time of reinstatement) - in addition to the renewal fee for your upcoming subscription term.
This policy exists because hosting, maintaining, and supporting your account's data remains available to you throughout a lapse, even when it isn't actively being paid for. It ensures the subscription model stays sustainable and doesn't turn into a one-time purchase that can be reactivated for free after any length of time. QR Safety Solutions will calculate the reinstatement amount owed based on your subscription rate history and communicate it before reinstating data-update access.
Termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation stops future billing but does not entitle you to a refund of amounts already paid, and does not remove QR labels or data already installed and on file. QR Safety Solutions may suspend or terminate access to the Service for non-payment, misuse, or violation of these Terms.
Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided to support - not replace - your facility's electrical safety program and qualified personnel's judgment. QR Safety Solutions is not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from reliance on data that is outdated, inaccurate, or unavailable due to a lapsed subscription, service interruption, or data provided by the Customer.
Changes to These Terms
QR Safety Solutions may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
