Who We Are
QR Safety Solutions was founded to solve two problems seen firsthand in the field: arc flash information that goes stale the moment equipment changes, and labels that workers stop truly reading over time.
Outdated or missing arc flash data is one of the most common findings during safety audits — and it's entirely preventable when hazard information lives in a system that updates instantly, instead of a sticker that has to be physically tracked down and replaced. We pair professional arc flash studies with QR-code labels linked to a live, centrally managed database, so the data behind every label is always current.
Meet the Founder
Barrett Durtschi
Founder & CEO
Barrett holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and spent five years in the nuclear industry as a power systems engineer, running arc flash studies for multiple Hazard Category 2 facilities as well as new reactor developments.
That work put him on both sides of the same problem: performing the studies that generate arc flash data, and watching how quickly that data goes stale — or gets ignored — once it's printed on a sticker. QR Safety Solutions exists to fix both halves of that problem at once.
Why QR Codes
A standardized arc flash label is easy to stop seeing. After the hundredth time walking past the same sticker, it fades into the background — even though the hazard behind it hasn't changed.
It also means the information they see is never outdated: update it once, centrally, and every scan reflects it instantly — no reprinting, no truck roll, no relying on someone to notice a label is out of date.
